"We are very excited to have US Homeland Security participate in this event, which is a first for the region",
mentioned Marie-Helene Couture, IIR Conference Manager. "We also have the confirmation from leading experts from the European Commission, the German Security Information Agency and the Central Informatics Organisation in Bahrain to name but a few. They all form great additions to the Identity Summit programme".
Identity management has become increasingly important for the public as well as for the private sectors. Authenticating employees, customers and citizens is becoming progressively more sophisticated. The Middle East has already pioneered into service some of the world's biggest biometric-based identity systems but will have to stay focused on growing internal as well as external threats.
The Identity Summit which is the largest regional conference and exhibition dedicated to the latest technologies, strategies and tactics in both physical and logical identity authentication and management, is endorsed by the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) along with the International Association for Biometrics and the International Biometric Group. The Summit is also supported by the International Security Industry Organization (ISIO).
Recognised international and regional experts in technology, systems and applications will meet to discuss issues, developments and future plans in managing identities, enterprise network authentication environments, smart cards, public key infrastructures, and identity based risk management and physical access control.
