Cybercrime threats rise

Symantec says cybercrime threats designed to destroy data are on the increase, with the latest attacks designed to steal data for profit without causing systems damage, reported Gulf News citing a semiannual Symantec report. Attackers are moving away from large attacks to target desktops and web applications to steal confidential information.
