Under the terms of the agreement, PWC Logistics will take responsibility for NMC's warehousing operations in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam, and other areas designing warehouse racking layouts, material flows, and processes in addition to managing the warehousing facilities. PWC Logistics will also provide and manage the distribution transport to its retail outlets and customers.
NMC operates over 300 pharmacies and sells to more than 1000 other pharmacies throughout Saudi Arabia, and is planning further significant expansion. Current product volumes, including medicines, cosmetics, medical equipment and other personal care items, exceed 30,000 tons per year.
Mr. Rod Lancaster, Country Manager PWC Logistics (Saudi Arabia), said:
