The addition of this aircraft takes the fleet to five brand new aircraft, with an additional 3 on order for this year to take the total fleet size to 8 by the end of 2006.

The new A320 aircraft, state-of-the-art and top in its class, arrived at Sharjah International Airport this morning from Toulouse, France under the command of Air Arabia's Director of Operations, Captain Mohammed Ahmed and Captain Ibrahim Al Hamer.

Speaking on its arrival, Adel Ali, Air Arabia's CEO said:

"As part of our ongoing aim to constantly strive to cater to passenger needs and offer them additional value, this latest aircraft addition will allow us to expand to more destinations as well as strategically increase frequency to current destinations."

Air Arabia now has a fleet of brand new A320 aircraft, the preferred choice in the single-aisle market, known for its wide seats, aisles and overhead stowage that holds 10% more carry-on baggage, as well as the technological innovation that brings enhanced performance and reliability. Air Arabia's A320s also provide in-flight entertainment with a selection of audio and video channels on both short and long haul flights. Spacious, airy and appealing - that is the opinion of the passengers who have regularly voted the A320 family into the top spot for comfort in the single-aisle airliner category.

Added Adel Ali: "This latest addition to our fleet will allow us to continue to offer Air Arabia customers more destinations more often. From cabin comfort, technology and efficiency, the A320 class of aircraft are renowned for setting standards. The passenger comes first and will continue to experience a great flight experience with us."
