Etisalat participates in GCC Traffic Week Exhibition in Al Ain

Emirates Telecommunications Corporation- Etisalat- is confirmed as a key participant in the GCC Traffic Week Exhibition, which is organized by the Ministry of Interior- Al Ain Police, and is being held between 18th and 24th March 2006.

Ali Bin Jerash, General Manager of Etisalat- Al Ain region, welcomed the participation in this event, which is in line with Etisalat's strategy to be actively involved in events that benefit society. He said: 'Etisalat has been a key participant in the economic, social, and technological development of UAE and is proud to have often been associated with many activities.'

Bin Jerash also stated that Etisalat's participation in the GCC Traffic Week aims at increasing awareness of traffic safety and maintaining an accident-free environment.

'This Exhibition aims to identify solutions to traffic problems as well as to come up with a unified strategy for traffic rules and regulations',



he added.

During its participation at the exhibition, Etisalat will showcase latest telecom and internet services for participants including school students and parents, policemen and the public. These services allow users to gain awareness of safety tools and make the most of online traffic services. Etisalat will also feature how the internet can yield information on traffic services, locations and directions, police patrols and online payment services.

Etisalat has supported many events and activities held in Al Ain City, such as the Al Ain Aerobatics Show, Civil Defence Week, Engineering Day Exhibition (ENGEX), and the UAE University Technology Exhibition. It is also sponsoring the Training and Employment week which will be held from 2nd to 4th of April 2006.
