IAAJ workshop ensures everybody wins

The International Advertising Association - Jordan Chapter (IAA Jordan) organized a workshop under the title 'Everybody Wins In Negotiations'.

The workshop, which took place in the Bristol Hotel from 13th to 15th March, underpins the Association's commitment to provide opportunities that help shape, educate, and develop young talent within the advertising and marketing communications industry.

Hania Juma, Executive Manager of IAA Jordan said,

'This workshop comes as part of the Association's education program, providing a range of training courses with specific industry skills at the forefront of our minds. The three-day workshop focused on personal and professional development and the range of negotiation styles that individuals and groups could use to ensure everybody wins, which focused on personal and professional development topics. This workshop was developed for members of the IAA Jordan as well as executives within the marketing communications industry such as advertising, marketing and public relations plus anyone interested in improving their negotiation skills'.



She went on saying that the workshop was a huge success with all participants giving positive feedback on how they could utilize the new negotiating techniques and concepts within their everyday working life.

The workshop included a variety of topics and techniques for more effective negotiation such as when to negotiate and when not to, negotiation face-to-face or on the phone and through e-mail. It also showed techniques on how to pull information from another party and how to avoid unnecessary issues as well as employing manipulative tactics, traps and ploys.

The workshop was facilitated by Wead Darwazeh, Managing Director and Business Development Consultant of United Skills. Darwazeh has over 11 years of experience in business development, providing consultancy services and training to governmental and international organizations.
