Innovation in Energy Awards dinner

The awards will recognize the achievements and sound business practices of oil and gas companies currently operating in the Sultanate of Oman. Outstanding players in the local oil and gas industry will be honoured in five distinct categories: Innovation in Oil, Innovation in Gas, Innovation in Petrochemicals, Innovation in New Technology, and Project of the Year.

The awards ceremony will be held on the first night of the OGWA Exhibition and Conference. "We at OGWA 2006 fully support Pipeline Magazine's initiative to give due recognition to oil and gas companies in Oman whose innovative operations greatly contribute in sustaining the industry," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC. "So we're saying to them - do come and join us!"

Winners are chosen by the very people who work for the industry -- through a unique reader's choice scheme that requires participants to explain their vote. Voting for the Innovation in Energy Awards-Oman is now open at the Pipeline Magazine website (www.pipelinedubai.com) and will close on March 31, 2006.

Michael pointed out that the awards ceremony at Grand Hyatt will be a three-course dinner, black-tie event that will be attended by industry executives, VIPs, dignitaries, and ministry officials.
