Zamil Steel Industries has been awarded the Middle East Customer Care Excellence Award for innovation and best practices in customer care in manufacturing.

Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulla Al Zamil, Chairman of Zamil Industrial Investment Company, received the award on behalf of Zamil Steel at a ceremony held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, recently.

"We are delighted to be the recipient of this award conferred by the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute which is based on having demonstrated exemplary customer care in the sector in which we operate and in acknowledgement of the Zamil Steel brand as being synonymous with quality products and services,"

said Dr. Al Zamil.

The mission of the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute is to highlight, acknowledge, and celebrate outstanding achievements by regional government and business organizations in customer care, service and satisfaction. The award presented to Zamil Steel is based on its efforts and results in consistently exceeding customer expectations, setting new standards for customer care and service, improving its service record through innovative practices and in raising its customers experiences in their interactions with the organization.

"Organizations today must gain, maintain and grow the trust and respect of their customers and we achieve this through various strategic investments and other comprehensive measures to ensure we deliver upon our customer promise," added Dr. Al Zamil.

"Recently this has included expanding and commissioning new manufacturing plants and capabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as in the GCC, Vietnam and India to satisfy growing demand and to reduce cycle times from order initiation to completion of shipment of our various steel products which are integral to the construction industry. These and other activities underway at Zamil Steel enable us to future proof our existing leadership position and expand our offerings into new domains while at the same time enable us to more fully enhance our customer's experiences."

In line with its expansion activities Zamil Steel has put in place strategic, systematic and deliberate programs to further develop its human resource capabilities and its product and service offerings to facilitate greater customer care and service provision as a key ingredient for increasing its competitive differentiation in the global marketplace.

Among the attendees at the awards ceremony were diplomats, senior executives, government officials, analysts, consultants, researchers and members of the media.
