The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohammed Hassan Al Khatib, Business Development Manager at the DCCI, along with the president and vice-president of the group's previous representative committee and a number of its members.
Mr. Al Khatib said, 'The Auditors Business Group is one of a total of 18 business groups that operate under the supervision of the DCCI which provides these groups with all sorts of support and help aiming to enhance its performance.'
He added, 'The Auditors Business Group has fulfilled several significant achievements which reflect the group's vocational activity in the last two years and the benefits the group has got from the Chamber through overcoming all its problems.'
Mr. Al Khatib also highlighted the DCCI's commitment to support all business groups and its keen interest in learning more about the performance of other economic sectors in the emirate through its representative business groups.
'Setting up business groups and its related representative committees by an initiative of the DCCI plays a vital role in activating links among its members to help enhance their businesses in their respective sectors and providing them with a chance to convey their recommendations concerning the regulation of their sectors and overcoming their problems to the authorities concerned,' said Al Khatib.
'The DCCI considers the business groups and its respective representative committees as strategic partners rather than just clients where they enjoy the right to get the best quality services by the DCCI and their obligation to contribute effectively to the development of national economy through enhancing the business of their sectors,' he added.
The president and vice-president of the group's previous representative committee conducted a presentation in which they talked about the achievements of the group in the past two years. They underlined the DCCI's support to the group which was established as a contribution by major auditing companies aiming to provide a dynamic professional environment for business to its members.
Mr. Al Khatib noted that the previous committee has contributed in setting the basic working system of the group where they conducted a series of meetings with representatives from the local government departments and other related ministries concerning the development of the auditors business group in collaboration with the DCCI.
The newly-elected representative committee of the Auditors Business Group included 11 members: Mr. Ahmed Al Abdouli, Mr. Ali Hassan Eisa, Mr. Eyad Awni Farsakh, Mrs. Safia Haji, Mr. K. Srinivansan, Mr. Abbas Ali Mirza, Mr. Sajjad Haider, Mr. Mahendra K. Asher, Mr. Graham Martins, Mr. Khalid Maniar, and Mr. Russi J. Patel, in addition to two other reserve members.
The initiative of forming business groups was decided in accordance with the DCCI's directives new strategy to meet the requirements of all the economic sectors, as these business groups have positively contributed to the development of economic sectors through coping with the modern economic trends locally and globally.

Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) yesterday hosted a meeting in which the new representative committee of the Auditors Business Group that operates under the umbrella of the DCCI was elected after two years of the previous committee's working service.
