  • PRESS RELEASE

Unveiling exciting opportunities for travel and adventure, National Bank of Dubai (NBD) today announced the launch of the new NBD-Dnata MasterCard Credit Card, the latest addition to the bank's range of cards.

NBD has partnered with Dnata, the largest, most innovative supplier of travel services in the Middle East, to provide its credit card holders with a unique combination of premium banking services and Dnata's wide range of international travel services, quality products and expertise.

Suvo Sarkar, Head of Retail Banking, NBD, said: "Dnata is one of the largest suppliers of travel services in the Middle East and we are delighted to be able to team up with them to offer such a unique product."

He added:

"Our partnership with Dnata will enable us to provide our credit card customers with a variety of value-added benefits and attractive offers unmatched in the marketplace."

Apart from a range of competitive credit card benefits that include high credit limits, acceptance at millions of Mastercard Merchants worldwide and 24-hour customer assistance, the NBD-Dnata MasterCard Credit Card allows its holders to earn reward points every time they use their card anywhere in the world. These accumulated points can then be redeemed at selected Dnata outlets for any of their products or services, including tickets at more than 130 airlines, exotic holiday packages and various other services.

The new Credit Card's powerful reward programme will allow cardholders to earn up to 10 per cent of the amount spent on the card. The redemption plan is simplified in order to allow the customer to know the exact value of the reward points, thus differentiating the NBD-Dnata MasterCard Credit Card from other cards in the market.

Iain Andrew, Senior Vice President, Dnata Agencies, said: "We're very pleased to partner with NBD in this exciting new credit card which opens up a world of travel adventure to NBD customers.

"We pride ourselves in providing the very best in travel expertise and product quality, and look forward to extending our services to NBD customers through the new NBD-Dnata MasterCard Credit Card."

Denzil Lawson, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Middle East & North Africa, MasterCard International, said:

"MasterCard is delighted to have worked closely with National Bank of Dubai and Dnata in developing this distinctive, reward driven and globally accepted credit card. The NBD Dnata MasterCard Credit Card will be an exciting addition to the region's card offerings and comes with the assurance of being accepted at over 1 million ATMs and more than 23 million acceptance locations worldwide."

The new NBD - Dnata MasterCard Credit Card is available in gold and silver variants to all residents of the UAE. Applications can be made at any of the 40 branches of NBD in the country or by calling the 24-hour NBD Call Centre on 04-310 0222

NBD is one of the largest issuers of credit cards in the country. In addition, the bank is one of the leading providers of point-of-sale terminals to over 2500 merchants in UAE.
