On-job- training is the most important factor in developing skills
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, March 19 - 2006 at 16:20
- PRESS RELEASE
Universities should give more attention to training and development programs if they want their graduates to have a step-up on competitors in the market place, recommended a renowned educationist.
"Private and government UAE establishments are all geared up and ready to encourage students to train in various departments. The students will then be familiar with the kinds of challenges and difficulties they may face in the workplace."
The training process is a strategic move that every other education institution in the Arab world should be prepared to organize for its students. The market will not accept people with fewer qualification and skills.
Dr Samarai added, "It is essential for training coordinators to examine the benefits that students get from training sessions. The training coordinator and the academic coordinator usually team up to evaluate and make recommendations for further development."
