Oasis Leasing announces date for OGM

Oasis International Leasing, the Abu Dhabi-based big ticket leasing company, is to hold an Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) to resolve outstanding issues resulting from the company's recent Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The OGM will be held on Sunday April 9 at five p.m. at the Hilton Hotel, in Abu Dhabi. If the requisite quorum is not achieved, the meeting will be rescheduled for Sunday April 16 at five p.m. at the Hilton Hotel.

Oasis Leasing had a very successful year in 2005, with the company's net profits growing by more than 255% to AED 28.1 million, compared with AED 7.9 million in 2004. Revenues were up by 6% at AED 187.3 million.

Gordon Dixon, CEO, Oasis Leasing expects similar growth rates in 2006 and 2007.

"The benefits of a number of deals completed in 2005 will show during 2006 and we expect to announce further deals in the coming months that will contribute significantly to the company's growth."
