Mindscape announces opening of new Offshore Development Center

NextEdge has commenced operations with 35 software professionals and ramp up to 100 over the next 2-3 years. Mindscape expects to maintain its dominant position in the region by leveraging on services offered through NextEdge.

Inaugrating the facility, Mohamed Fouz, the CIO of Mashreqbank and the CEO of Mindscape said,

"We felt a strong need to work with a strategic partner to offshore our maintenance and development activity, thereby strengthening our delivery capability to Mashreqbank, as well as our other customers. After examining various options, it was best felt to set up our own delivery arm. NextEdge proved to be best suited for the purpose".

It is relevant considering the fact that the technology needs for Mashreqbank is growing rapidly in order to maintain its rate of growth and leadership position in the banking services industry. "The business plans for NextEdge are aggressive and we are positive that in a couple of years' time, Mindscape will be in a strong position to ensure that its track record of delivery-on-time to its customers is sustained and is met at a relatively lower cost base," said Fouz.
