According to Ms. Diana Al Jahromi, the PR Committee member of the conference, ARTDO should first stand as a sole pride to all Bahrainis as it is the first time in the history of ARTDO to be hosted by an Arab country and to highlight critical issues in the field of training giving more specifically ample significance to the e-learning tools and solutions which have been revolutionising the conventional concepts of learning and training.
With four specialised streams of leadership, future shape of work, developing self and innovative learning under the umbrella of focusing on maximising human potential, the ARTDO has invited speakers of uppermost repute to grip and market e-learning on the authority of accommodating multiple learning styles and fostering self-paced learning and interactive interaction.
In accordance with Ms. Diana Al Jahromi, e-learning sessions will be conducted by internationally acknowledged speakers such as Dr. Bassem Khafagi, the President of Nahda University in Egypt which is the first virtual Arab university; Mr. Andrew Sadler, the Program Director of IBM On Demand Workplace Project Office; Mr. Tim Neill, the Founder and Managing Director of TNA Associates; and Ms. Sally-Anne Moore, the Events Director at the Middle East Learning Technologies. Other defining speakers will lead interactive MELT e-learning sessions such as Professor Sa'ed Medhat, the Chairman and CEO of Productivity4you; Mr. Julian Wragg, the Senior Account Director at EMEA, Global English who has 20 years of experience in the field of marketing and sales; Dr. Milad Fares Sebaaly, the CEO of Universal Knowledge Solutions Company which has branches and subsidiaries in the UAE, Lebanon and Kuwait; and Mr. Shah Mehendren, the Senior Director at Oracle Corporation EMEA and a previous member of the Global Knowledge Network team.
Ms. Al Jahromi concluded that the ARTDO Conference hosted by the Bahrain Society for Training and Development (BSTD) is envisaged to empower local and international organisations and individuals with the necessary dynamism of training and human resource development by placing momentous magnitude on the two equalisers of life, the Internet and education in the form of e-learning.
