DWTC participated in the fair, which was held on March 15 and 16, in order to create awareness about job prospects in its various departments for talented young UAE nationals.
'We took part for the first time in Career Fair 2006 to demonstate our social commitment and to increase our involvement with those groups which are driving Emirisation and increasing opportunities. We will continue taking part in such events because they play an important role in realising the vision of the government and furthering the cause of Emiratisation,' said DWTC Acting General Manager - Human Resources, Yusuf Lootah.
'We are encouraged by the successful response to our participation at Careers Fair 2006. We are now in the process of vetting applications and selecting the right candidates who fit our current requirements for employment,'
Lootah added.
DWTC has recorded an 85% growth in the number of local employees recruited in 2005 as compared to the previous year. Since the beginning of this year, 39 Emiratis have joined DWTC.
