British Mission due in Abu Dhabi for Dome Exhibition

The high power delegation coincides with the International Real Estate & Investment Show 2006 held from 22-25 March.

BCCB is the leading UK trade association with an objective of promoting British expertise worldwide with member companies from a wide range of sectors.

'Our deliberations with key public and private entities in Abu Dhabi coupled with a very strong inclination of the emirate to do business with the UK have opened up opportunities for consultancy in a number of fields notably in real estate, construction, tourism and leisure industries. The objective of the mission is to discuss the implications of Public Private Partnerships - PPP in the region, relevant to real estate and construction sectors' said Mr. Barrett.

PPP will be a catalyst for economic growth as the public sector learns to adopt business models of international private sector which initiates investor friendly regulations and encourage Foreign Direct Investment-FDI.

International Real Estate & Investment Show 2006 being a showcase of the region's property development and allied sectors gives us a better platform to start our initiatives in these sectors. We intend to have discussions on partnerships with local property developers and other infrastructure developers at the show, added Mr. Barrett. The British Embassy here in Abu Dhabi will be coordinating the mission.

IREIS 2006, the second edition of the exclusive property development and investment in Abu Dhabi takes place at the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Centre from 22-25 March. The one day conference - Abu Dhabi Property Leaders Summit - is held on the 25th which features prominent speakers and high ranking officials from the major property, finance and legal institutions including members of the British mission.
