Vice President/Commercial Hussein Dabbas, who signed the agreement on the part of RJ, said that introducing this program, developed by the specialized company HITIT, aims to improve its dealings with passengers and the services offered by the company. It endeavors to meet every frequent flyer's demands and needs concerning flight information, luggage and following up on the various rewards the frequent flyer program provides RJ's customers.
Dabbas said that the system is to be implemented starting with June 2006 as one of the requirements for joining oneworld alliance, expected by the end of this year. It also comes in line with RJ's attempt at automating services and facilitating travel procedures, that comes to complement the electronic ticketing system that Royal Jordanian will be executing soon.
Dabbas stressed that CRANE will enable the airline to optimize consistent communication with every passenger individually. Through the system, the airline will be able to provide passengers with all data on their membership in the frequent flyer program, the points accumulated through flying onboard RJ and other airlines, members of oneworld, and the benefits that frequent flyers enjoy.
HITIT Computer Services' headquarters is located in Istanbul, Turkey. It enjoys a remarkable reputation in the field of developing frequent flyer systems for airlines. It holds a diverse range of technical skills and expertise in the airline industry, and it has committed and highly skilled staff in terms of creativity, experience, technological background, flexibility, perspective, achievement and quality.
RJ's frequent flyer program, known as Royal Plus, was set up in 1984 to offer convenience and care to passengers who choose to fly onboard Royal Jordanian. The airline has paid great attention to the program, and now it counts more than 76,000 members who enjoy the privilege offered by four kinds of membership cards: White Plus, Silver Plus, Gold Plus and Platinum Plus.
