GCC, EU to conclude FTA talks

The GCC and EU hope to conclude talks on a free trade agreement in Riyadh in June. An in-principle agreement for zero tariffs on GCC exports of aluminium and petrochemicals was made last week in Brussels, according to UAE Ministry of Economy assistant undersecretary Abdullah Ahmad Al Saleh quoted in Gulf News. He said talks on a FTA deal with India will start next week, followed by Pakistan, Latin America and Japan.
