IDC appoints new vice president of consulting in EMEA

IDC is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick White as vice president of consulting at IDC EMEA.

"This is a key appointment for IDC in one of our fastest growing areas of business," said Roberto Masiero, IDC EMEA president. "In this role, White will be responsible for the overall EMEA consulting business, including the development of solutions and subsequent sales and delivery."

White's key areas of expertise are marketing and sales, focusing on supporting clients in business improvement and revenue generation, an area in which he has contributed to and managed projects for many technology-based clients.

White has a wealth of experience in the consulting business with such organizations as IBM, HP, SAP, Microsoft, Getronics, BT, and Cisco. In his consulting role he has provided consultancy services on issues such as brand positioning and messaging, go-to-market strategies, portfolio development, channel strategies and tactics, sales tools for software organizations including ROI models and case studies, marketing planning processes, and market research.

Before joining IDC, White worked for Gartner Consulting in several roles including EMEA practice leader where he was responsible for EMEA practice performance and development. White was also European vice president for a startup developing marketing and sales management software. He started his consultancy career in a specialist marketing and sales consultancy company, where he specialized in the technology and business-to-business markets.

White holds a CIM diploma in marketing and an MBA from Cranfield.
