Taking part in the event were first year MUB medical students and over 15 local doctors interested in the relationship between communication and culture in clinical practice.
"The mixing of both students and experienced practitioners is a great opportunity for the
cross-pollination of ideas and knowledge," said Dr Efharis Panagopoulou, Communication Skills Training Coordinator, Medical School, Aristotle University Thessaloniki, Greece.
"The doctors get to refresh their skills and become exposed to new perspectives while students learn from the experience of practitioners in the field."
Dr. Anthony Montgomery, Senior Lecturer, RCSI-MUB said that the workshop is another in a series of initiatives through which the university hopes to contribute to raising the standard of healthcare training and education in the region.
"The RCSI-MUB is committed to offering the best medical educational and training programs in the Middle East," he said.
The event was sponsored by RCSI-MUB, with contributions from Yousuf Mahmood Husain W.L.L. and Nassar Pharmaceuticals.
