DTCM extends media support to Dubai World Cup 2006

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is set to capitalize on Dubai's fast-emerging reputation as the leading sports destination in the Middle East, by sponsoring the media centre at the upcoming Dubai World Cup 2006.

Dubbed as the world's richest horse race, the Dubai World Cup 2006 will be held on March 25 at the Nad Al Sheba Racecourse. The 11th edition of Dubai's annual horse-racing event, will attract visitors, sports enthusiasts and media from different parts of the world.

Mr. Marwan bin Beyat, DTCM Manager, Events said: "The DTCM has the proud privilege of extending press support to such a mega-event. Our support to the prestigious event is in line with our mission of promoting Dubai's image as the leading leisure and tourist destination of the world. Different departments within the DTCM are working in tandem to offer the best of facilities to the international media."

The DTCM is the official press supporter and the central hub for the event that is conducted for the UAE Derby, the world's most valuable Derby featuring the Dubai Kahayla Classic for Purebred Arabians.

The Events section of the DTCM is working in tandem with the Visitors Information Bureaus to set up the press centre at the Dubai World Cup 2006.

The DTCM will help promote Dubai as a leading tourism and sports destination by disseminating brochures, pamphlets and photographs about Dubai among the press. The promotional material distributed by the DTCM will include the latest facts, statistics and details about its upcoming projects.
