The Islamic Finance Awards was held at the Jumeriah Beach Hotel, Dubai and was attended by senior members of the U.A.E. Royal Family and top executives from the Islamic Finance industry. In attendance from Bahrain was H.E. Shaikh Salman Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa representing the Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA).
Accepting the award on behalf of Solidarity from Sheikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Director General of the Department of Information was Sameer Al Wazzan, CEO, Solidarity.
"We are extremely honored to have received this award which is an endorsement of the successful year we have had and the growth we have achieved. In 2005 Solidarity expanded into key international markets; this year we hope to further increase our global presence,"
said Sameer Al Wazzan, CEO, Solidarity.
"The Takaful industry has become a global phenomenon and is continuing to grow rapidly. As a company, Solidarity has always strived to strategically educate the public on the principles of Takaful. As such, it is rewarding for us to be recognized for our contribution to the industry," Al Wazzan concluded.
The Islamic Finance Awards was held during the ninth International Islamic Finance Forum (IIFF), which is held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
