CMOS Sensor
CMOS Sensor (DCRDVD905E) provides clarity with exceptional video and high quality still images. Compared to traditional CCD Imager, CMOS Sensor consumes less power and provides better battery performance. Its Enhanced Imaging Processor boasts improved video performance.

Dolby Digital 5.1 Creater (5.1 ch. Centre Mic. ready)
The DVD Handycam® models enable sounds to be captured from omni-directions & playback on home theatre systems with 5.1channel Surround Sound capability for realistic scene experience.
Now when you record your child's lead performance in cinematic surround sound, you can be sure that his or her voice will stand out clearly in the troupe.

The new DCRDVD905E and DCRDVD805E DVD Handycam models support an optional wireless microphone that can be clipped to your subject while shooting. The microphone amplifies the sound in the camcorder's Dolby Digital 5.1-channel surround sound system. Thanks to Bluetooth technology, voices and sounds can be recorded wirelessly at distances up to 100 feet.

PictBridge™
Based on the CIPA standard, PictBridge™ allows application between DVD Handycam® and output devices like a photo printer that supports PictBridge™ to be standardized. This eliminates the use of the computer and selection of a particular photo to be printed can be done on the printer itself.

Memory stick Duo Slot
The new built-in Memory Stick Duo Slot on the DCRDVD755E, DCRDVD805E & DCRDVD905E gives you the flexibility of saving your mages onto the Memory stick duo (still images only), freeing up even more recording time on the DVD media. It also allows you to transfer your pictures instantly to a PC or print and share with other compatible products.

The High-End DVD Handycam® Model DCRDVD905E with its dual mode recording misses no photo or movie opportunity to capture that very best and precious moment, be it a wedding, or a trip to the Taj Mahal. It can shoot high-resolution digital still pictures in 4 mega-pixels with an easy one-touch button, instead of the usual VGA resolution available in most camcorders.

There is also the new smooth slow recording function, which automatically reduces quick movements, which are too fast for the human eye. The Camcorder also comes equipped with the new ClearVid CMOS Sensor imaging technology and Enhanced Imaging Processor to deliver faster image processing speeds for colorful and vivid moments captured in video.

Sony's comprehensive range of DVD camcorders include the new mid-range models DCRDVD805E and DCRDVD755E, which record surround sounds to provide a more realistic setting for the consumer.

DCRDVD705E and DCRDVD605E
For the novice users, DCRDVD705E and DCRDVD605E provide the basic features at the convenience of a compact DVD camcorder. The DVD Handycam® models have wide DVD recording compatibility, with an additional offering of - DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW. The entry-level DCRDVD605E also offers longer distant shooting with its 20x optical zoom.
