The delegation also included H.E. Jim Howell, New Zealand's Ambassador to the UAE and Sam Lewis, the New Zealand Consul General and Trade Commissioner in Dubai. The delegation was received by Abdullatif Al Mulla, Deputy CEO, TECOM Investments and Jamal Abdul Salam, Executive Director, Dubai Internet City.
The officials discussed various areas of collaboration between New Zealand's knowledge-industry community and companies in TECOM's free zones, and exchanged ideas on how they could facilitate cooperation.
'We are always in search of opportunities for new linkages with countries across the world, and this visit helped us to explore stronger ties with New Zealand's vibrant knowledge economy,' said Abdullatif Al Mulla, Deputy CEO, TECOM Investments. 'There are many areas of complementarities between the knowledge industries of both countries, which we are keen to tap through increased interaction,' he added.
The New Zealand Minister spoke highly of the forward thinking economic policies of Dubai and lauded the rapid development of the Emirate, adding that Dubai has gained a high profile across the world due to its achievements.
