The DTCM's participation was aimed at further strengthening Dubai's image as the leading leisure and tourism destination in the world and sustaining its record year-on-year growth in international tourist arrivals.
The EMITT is one of the most important travel and tourism exhibitions in the East Mediterranean countries and the 11th edition of the fair gathered more than 1,500 exhibitors from over 50 countries around the world.
The DTCM led an impressive number of 14 co-participants in the private and the public sector who shared Dubai's stand of 66 sq mts at the EMITT.
The DTCM was represented by Mr. Khalid bin Nassar, Officer, Overseas Promotions at EMITT 2006. This is the fifth year of DTCM's participation at the 10th edition of the fair
The TUR 2006, Scandinavia's leading travel and tourism fair got off to start today (March 23) and will continue till March 26. This is DTCM's 12th year of participation in the 23rd edition of the exhibition. The Dubai stand measuring 50 sq mts is being shared by four co-participants.
Mr. Khalifa Ali Buamaim, DTCM Manager, Overseas Promotions said: "DTCM's participation in these exhibitions is key to tapping important European markets. These international fairs not only help in displaying Dubai's myriad tourist attractions but also bring in greater number of tourists and trade opportunities to Dubai."
"Our participation at EMITT has been very successful and the Dubai stand in TUR 2006 is drawing popular response from the international tourists, and trade visitors."
