Al Fozan to set up AED 45 million manufacturing facility at Dubai Investments Park

Dubai Investments Park has announced that Al Fozan, one of the largest importers of steel, wood, electrical and hardware material, as well as the leading manufacturer of steel and wooden products for the building and construction industry, will be setting up an AED 45 million manufacturing facility at the Park.
Khalid J. Kalban, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Investments, said, "The increasing number of tenants who are setting up their regional operations in the Park is evidence of our high quality support services and well-planned infrastructure facilities. We have been committed to satisfying the needs of our tenants from different industries and ensuring that the Park serves as an ideal environment for their business."
"By making the most of the facilities available at the Park, Al Fozan will be able to supply the GCC market with the best quality of fabricated steel, wire-mesh and wood products. We will offer Al Fozan all the assistance they require to successfully carry out their operations from DIP," added Kalban.
Al Fozan's new plant is scheduled for completion in early October 2006 and it will employee around 250 staff.
Commenting on the new facility, Mahmoud Abu Dayah, Regional Manager, Al Fozan, said, "Our decision to set up this modern manufacturing facility at Dubai Investments Park is in line with our strategy to effectively target the regional markets. The Park's self-contained business zone and its proximity to the Jebel Ali port is a major factor that will contribute to enhancing the efficiency and productivity of our operations. We will be adopting the latest international standards in our operations to supply the market with the highest quality of steel, wire-mesh and lumber."
The infrastructure facilities at Dubai Investments Park include an extensive and well-planned road network, electricity and water network, state-of-the-art telecommunications services, wastewater treatment plants and irrigation and fire fighting network.
Dubai Investments Park has tenants from diverse industrial sectors such as pharmaceuticals, property development, metal treatment and insulation materials, water purification, boiling and distribution, heavy duty steel fabrication, cold storage, building systems, distribution of TV satellite equipment and the manufacture of cast steel valves for oil, gas and water industries as well as plastic pipes and accessories. The park consists of three business zones including the Industrial Zone, Commercial Zone and the Residential Zone. It also hosts leading international schools, thus making it a city in side a city.
