DTCM chairs meeting to discuss hospitality issues

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) convened its second meeting for Hotel and Hotel Apartments Group at the Grosvenor House recently to discuss a wide range of hospitality-related issues as part of its continuing efforts to offer a value-for-money visitor experience and enhance customer service standards.
The DTCM invited the Roads and Transport Authority to understand and clarify the members' concerns about the smooth flow of traffic on Dubai's roads and to prepare a presentation on the development of roads from Shaikh Zayed Road all the way to Al Sufouh Road.
Representatives from Dubai Police informed members about the upcoming conference and workshop on April 3-5 on the legal and security aspects of tourism.
All the members reported brisk business and high occupancy rates during the month of February.
The Jumeirah Group recently conducted a best practice on medical facilities and DTCM agreed to arrange a presentation by Jumeirah to the rest of the group so as to benefit from the best practice.
Mr. Seghayer Al Ketbi briefed members on the first DTCM Convention Group meeting initiated to enhance Dubai's image as business travel and meeting destination.
