As a result, the current Taipei-Vienna direct service will add a new stop-over at Abu Dhabi, which will provide greater convenience for passengers traveling to the Middle East for business or pleasure.
For the new Taipei-Abu Dhabi-Vienna passenger service, flight CI 063 will depart every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 21:30 from Taipei, and arrive in Abu Dhabi the next day at 02:25. The aircraft will take off again from Abu Dhabi at 03:35 and arrive in Vienna at 07:30. Return flight of CI 064 will leave Vienna every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 09:20 in the morning and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 16:50. It will depart Abu Dhabi at 18:00 and arrive in Taipei the following morning at 06:40.
By adding Abu Dhabi to its route network, CAL can serve Taiwanese business travelers and tourists flying to the Middle East, and businessmen and tourists traveling from Central Europe to the Middle East. The flight will also be convenient for workers from the Philippines and Indonesia flying to the Middle East. Abu Dhabi is the capital of United Arab Emirates, and is a major international hub for air transportation. From 1995 to 2004, China Airlines operated a Taipei-Abu Dhabi-Rome round trip passenger service.
In response to strong market demand, China Airlines will add two new frequencies to its Seattle route. Flights CI 022 and CI 021, a Taipei-Seattle round trip will be launched on April 26, using an aircraft A340-300 aircraft. CI 022 will depart every Monday and Wednesday at 23:00 from Taipei and arrive at 19:10 the same day in Seattle. Return flight CI 021 will take off every Tuesday and Thursday from Seattle at 01:20 and arrive in Taipei at 05:30 the next day. After adding the new flights, the Taipei-Seattle passenger service will increase to five flights per week, with three of those weekly flights continuing to Houston.
China Airlines launches Abu Dhabi service and increases flights to Seattle
China Airlines (CAL) will inaugurate a new Taipei-Abu Dhabi-Vienna passenger service with three flights per week on April 25, using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
