DTCM sponsors exhibition of traditional artifacts as part of Dubai International Horse Championship 2006

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) as part of its endeavour to promote Dubai's traditional art and culture is sponsoring a heritage exhibition running parallel to the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship 2006 at the Dubai World Trade Centre from March 26-29.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and the Minister of Finance and Industry visited the exhibition during the opening on March 26 and praised the wide-variety of exhibits and the efforts of DTCM to promote Dubai's art, culture and heritage during important occasions like the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship 2006.
Mr. Khalid Ali bin Garib, DTCM Manager, Heritage Village said that the exhibition is meant to show off UAE's ancient tradition and heritage to international visitors, currently in Dubai to watch or participate at the Dubai International Horse Racing Championship.
He also praised the role of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Affairs in helping to organise the exhibition.
Mr. Nasser Juma bin Sulaiman, DTCM Executive, Events said that the success of the event demonstrated an effective partnership between the visitors information bureau, shopping malls and DTCM overseas offices to promote the event worldwide.
