Sharjah Tatweer Forum conducts workshop to highlight the importance of creativity and innovation in young people

Sharjah Tatweer Forum, an initiative launched to boost the involvement and influence of Sharjah's young talents for encouraging competitiveness in the public and private sectors, hosted a workshop recently highlighting the role of innovation and creativity to an emerging pool of young and talented leaders.

The event, conducted by Khilfan Al Esry from Prosper Oman, was held at the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club and in attendance of several dignitaries from Sharjah as well as existing and potential Tatweer members.

The workshop was part of Tatweer's attempt to identify and encourage young talents and develop them. The workshop mainly aimed at working with the private and public sector organisations to activate their partnership in order to increase the economic development of Sharjah and to provide the emirate a competitive edge.

Speaking at the workshop, Khalfan Al Esry said,

"This workshop is a comprehensive platform that aims to attract innovative and creative ideas from all its members, while encouraging them to enhance their participation in the all round development and progress of Sharjah. The highly competitive and booming business environment today requires highly skilled professionals, and through this workshop, we aim to develop talented youngsters, so that they can compete and stand strong in their endeavour."


Members at the workshop gained the opportunity to provide their feedback on all the past and current activities of the forum. They also discussed the forum's organizational constitution and gave their opinions on the effectiveness of potential Tatweer projects. Through this workshop, Tatweer forum was successful in raising awareness about various issues among the existing members and also attracting to their forum, new members.

Hussain Al Mahmoudi, Chairman of Tatweer said, "Today's workshop is an initiative launched to influence the creative minds of the young people of Sharjah so as to give them an opportunity to push the boundaries of their imagination in a supportive and inspirational environment. It is of vital importance to us that our young people's ideas are given room to develop and the Tatweer workshop is an ideal podium for it."

"Encouraging the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation amongst young professionals is our priority. At this workshop, we will work at different levels to identify, nurture and promote young talents and utilise their capabilities in raising the profile of the Emirate. Creative and innovative ideas are continuously encouraged at the workshop, and the ideas presented by our youngsters will no doubt help in the economic development of the region. Tatweer is committed in enhancing the role of young talents in the various fields," Al Mahmoudi added.
