Proper and secure management of employee, partner and customer identity is a common thread in improving organizational efficiency.

To do all of this, it is imperative that organizations implement a secure identity management solution that leverages a common identity foundation across the entire infrastructure. This solution must include and integrate all critical components: policy-based identity management, access control, and auditing.

This type of comprehensive, secure identity management solution will address critical business drivers and put the enterprise in a position to compete effectively now and in the future.

Participating in the ID summit that took place yesterday at Dusit Dubai, Gerard Mcdonnell, Director Novell ME said,
"With the rapidly growing pressure on CIO's in the region to improve their IT governance and security standards whilst reducing their costs and complexity, it is no surprise that Identity Management is high on their agenda these days.

"The Identity Summit is the right place and the right time for Novell to bring our wealth of solutions and experience as a leader in this field for the last 5 years to the people who need it most". "We are proud to show how CIOs in other regions have already done this with our help, and are keen to work with the CIO's here, to bring them ahead of competition in this space."

Novell IDM 3 Delivers unprecedented ease of use to help customers rapidly deploy and manage automated, policy-driven user provisioning solutions, which seems to be the prime concern and challenge for most of the govt and public sector organizations.

"Firms that are examining Service Oriented Architectures as a way of increasing business agility should prepare to apply operational controls to these architectures and applications," says Jamie Partington, Country Manager, Novell Middle East.

"Novell recently won the "InfoWorld Technology of the Year award 2006" against major vendors in a most meticulous assessment. With new IDM 3, customers will be more pleased to use a simple process to control user access, protect sensitive data, reduce administrative costs, and comply with corporate and regulatory mandates," he added.
