The Foundation's medical evacuation programme brings children from countries such as Albania, Iraq, Somalia, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Palestine and Ethiopia to Australia for life-saving and life-changing medical treatment.
Mr. Flanagan said: "I visited one of the hospitals used by the foundation a couple of years back and was very touched by the experience and impressed with its dedication to this worthy cause. Emirates is delighted that it can help disadvantaged children around the world receive life-saving treatment that will help them lead fulfilling lives as adults."
Ms. Smith said:
"It's wonderful - the way Emirates stepped up to help sick and underprivileged children around the world - and I'm extremely happy to present this certificate today as a token or our appreciation. We hope more organizations will follow Emirates' shining example and fulfill their roles as corporate citizens."
