The number of registered professional jobseekers at Bayt.com now exceeds one million, and new users of the site are increasing by more than 1,000 a day. Jobseekers in the UAE make up a large portion of the database, according to Bayt.com.
Bayt.com CEO Rabea Ataya said:
"With the importance of the drive towards 'Emiratisation' of the workforce, the United Arab Emirates has a special need for quality career planning consultancy. Bayt.com represents many of the UAE's biggest companies and is committed to further investments here."
"The country is witnessing a high increase in the number of new job vacancies and in the number of jobseekers as well. We are committed to this market and work towards securing dream jobs for Emirati nationals and to expats as well,' added Ataya.
Dinner events to celebrate the company's one million milestone were also held in Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar and Amman. Hundreds of top executives from Bayt.com's client list of multinational companies and local conglomerates attended the dinners. A similar event will also be held in Kuwait.
"Bayt.com has firmly established itself as the region's largest talent marketplace. Total revenue growth exceeded 75 per cent in 2005 and net profits were up three-fold. Last year was the fifth straight year of double-digit growth for the brand, and the future for Bayt is bright. We now employ more than 150 recruitment professionals in 10 Middle East cities," said Ataya.
Bayt.com is aiming to triple its current workforce by 2007 and recently launched its own career micro-site - www.bayt.com/'careers' - to recruit new team members. By the end of 2007, registered jobseekers are expected to reach 3.5 million and 60,000 employers are projected to be using the service.
Bayt.com will open a 'Career Coaching Centre' in Dubai to offer jobseekers specialist training and boost their chances of landing their dream job. This follows the success of Bayt's CV Services division, which performs CV writing services using dedicated recruitment specialists. Bayt.com plans to extend the coaching centre initiative around the region.
The Bayt.com site sees 1.5 million visitors a month, and monthly page views exceed 65 million. Founded in 2000, Dubai-based Bayt.com has established offices in 10 Middle East cities: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Manama, Doha, Kuwait City, Amman and Islamabad.
