Plug-Ins Electronix celebrates an outstanding 2005

The ceremony, now in its third year, was aimed at recognizing outstanding performances of the suppliers and brand associates of Plug-Ins Electronix.

Mr. Vishesh Bhatia, Group Director- Electronics said,

This year, Plug-ins Electronix had 20 award categories with the 'Best Brand' and 'Best Supplier' awards being the highlight of the evening. Jumbo Electronics won the 'Best Supplier' Award while Panasonic Marketing Middle East picked up the award for the 'Best Brand'. A new category that was added this year was the 'Best New Supplier' and 'Best New Brand' and G-Hanz FZE and Genius IT Peripherals won the awards respectively

Mr. Bhatia further added, "Keeping our promise of exciting times ahead, I am delighted to announce that Plug-ins Electronix will soon launch itself at Dubai Festival City in a never before avatar. Coined as the 'Big Box', the new store that is slated to open mid this year, will be the largest multi-branded electronics retail outlet in the UAE. This move is in unison with our plans to consolidate our presence and will raise the bar for the electronics retail industry in the region. With the opening of the 'Big Box', electronics retail will never be the same again."

Plug-Ins Electronix represents over 300 of the world's leading brands, offering customers a unique shopping experience. With the opening of its 35,000 square feet store in Dubai Festival City, Plug-ins Electronix will be the electronics retailer with the largest multi-branded electronics store in the UAE. The new store designed by a famous design house called 'Design Forum', will have a new section to cater to B2B customers.

"During 2005 our portfolio of brands increased and this has prompted to the increase in the award categories this year", said Mr. Klaus Borchert, General Manager, Plug-ins Electronix.

"2005 was an outstanding year for us where we witnessed a surge in sales of Plasma TVs, Digital Cameras and MP3 Players with an overall sales increase of 30% in comparison to 2004. This year, based on current market trends, we look forward to boosting our position in categories such as IT, white goods and gaming products.
