Standard Chartered welcomes first Al Mawarid graduates

Standard Chartered, one of the leading international banks in the UAE, has welcomed its first graduates to successfully complete the Al Mawarid Emiratisation Induction programme.
H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman-HRD Committee in Banking Sector, Chairman of EIBFS and David Proctor, Standard Chartered's newly appointed CEO for the UAE and Oman, presented 79 students with their graduation certificates.
"The Al Mawarid Emiratisation Induction programme is one of the Bank's successful approaches to developing local talent in the marketplace," said Proctor. "By working closely with the EIBFS we have developed a unique programme that provides trainees with the fundamental principles of banking operations".
Standard Chartered is committed to harnessing local talents and Emiratisation is an integral part of the Bank's long-term strategy in the UAE.
The Bank is dedicated to designing some of the UAE's most comprehensive training schemes. These will help develop the Emirati workforce and ensure the local banking sector compares favourably with other leading financial markets around the world.
