Printing and Publishing Business Group to introduce a new award in April

Printing and Publishing Business Group that works under DCCI umbrella launched in a general assembly meeting, a new award in the printing and publishing sector.

The award conveys the groups' objectives in developing the printing and publishing sector in the UAE by strengthening the existing robust relationship between the different players in the sector and achieving common goals in enhancing the overall performance with respect to quality control.

Ahmed Hassan Bin Al Shaikh announced the award in attendance of Atiq Juma Nasib the Director of Business Development Department, Mohammed Hassan Al Khatib the Business Development Manager Tariq Jawaherji and the group members.

Atiq Nasib said, "The major role of DCCI is serving the members and meeting their needs and requirements, this message is noticeable in the business groups which are established by DCCI which creates channels to meet governmental authorities to solve problems and a platform for members for interaction."

Ahmed bin Al Shaikh explained that the group has achieved good results since it was established. It created a good trust among the members along with exchanging experiences, organizing several seminars, participating in the gulf printing and packaging exhibition and developing the quarterly newsletter.

Al Shaikh presented briefly on the award which is the new initiative introduced by the group that will be in April 2006. He mentioned that the award is considered the first in this sector in the region. He said, "The award will cover the UAE in the first year; then it will expand to cover the GCC countries in the second year."
