DFC activates a unique 'Smart Function' that automatically sets the best contrast ratio for each image in a fraction of a second, and the advanced image enhancing technology is especially effective with dark images. LG's DFC technology comes in a range of Flatron LCD TV models: LX70, LX52, LX19, LX60, and LX82.
"LG's lifestyle approach and consumer focus of the digital display business is highlighted with DFC technology," said K.W. Kim, President, LG Electronics, Middle East and Africa Operations.
"Today, TV monitors have a wider range of uses in the home and workplace, and the new Flatron series offers greater flexibility and performance. By incorporating cutting-edge technology, LG will reinforce its position as a global leader in digital display."
In the new era of multi-use, LG monitors equipped with DFC provide viewers with a seamless viewing experience and greater control, allowing them to watch movies, animation, TV programs and even fast moving sports games on LCD monitors.
Kim added: "LG maintained its regional market leadership in the PDP and LCD TV division in 2005. The company recorded a turnover of US$136 million, a nine per cent growth over 2004. LG is striving to become the number one in the global display market, and aims to achieve total global sales of US$10 billion by 2010."
