TRA hosts dinner for Deputy General Director

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has bid farewell to its Deputy General Director, Mr. Henrik Brodersen.

The General Director and senior management of the TRA held a farewell dinner in honour of Mr. Brodersen, to thank him for his work at the TRA and to wish him success in his new venture.

Mr. Brodersen will be moving back to his native Denmark, where he has been offered a senior position in his area of specialization.

Mr. Brodersen joined the TRA last year as Deputy General Director. Prior to that he had held several senior positions in the Danish Regulator - the National IT & Telecom Agency - and was most recently Head of the Market Division.

Mr. Henrik Brodersen said: "I have enjoyed the challenge presented to me at the TRA Bahrain. Although only 3 years old, the regulator has been dealing with the same challenges as established regulators worldwide, and has made remarkable progress in that time. As I head back home, I would like to wish everyone at the TRA all the best."

The General Director of the TRA, Mr. A. Andreas Avgousti said : "It is never easy to say goodbye to a good colleague like Mr. Brodersen, but we are happy to see that he will be moving on to a good opportunity in his homeland. We wish to thank him for his hard work at the TRA and wish him all the best in his next venture."

The TRA is an independent body and its duties and powers include protecting the interests of subscribers and users, and promoting effective and fair competition among established and new licensed operators.
