More than 2000 of the finest creative minds from around the globe took part in the four-day World Congress, held from March 20 to 23, 2006 at the Dubai International Convention Centre.

As part of its participation, BPG showcased its specialised services and divisions at a designated stall. As a symbol of hospitality, BPG also installed seven slush machines, representing the creative juices of its seven business units, and distributed specially-designed and branded date boxes, inherent to the rich Arab culture and as a mark of BPG's 25th anniversary celebrations.

The juices and date boxes piqued the curiosity of delegates and proved to be a major hit with visitors from around the world -- from Vietnam to Colombia and Bulgaria to Australia.

Talking about the innovative participation at the IAA Congress, Mr. Abdulla Majed Al Ghurair, BPG Chairman, said:
"At BPG, we have tried to emulate the success of the date palm - an enduring symbol of the Arab World. In these 25 years, we have thrived on the tough and exciting challenges to become a leading integrated marketing services group with a unique understanding of the region, effectively complementing short-term strategies with successful long-term planning. We are happy that we could showcase our specialization and unique business model to the global confluence of thought leaders and opinion shapers."

In his comments on the IAA participation, Mr. Avishesha (Avi) Bhojani, Group CEO of BPG, said: "The IAA World Congress was the ideal platform to exhibit our creative side. Through this participation, we were looking at ways of harnessing and further developing the quality of our end product - be it creative, strategic or tactical. That we received over 900 enquiries over the three days speaks volumes on the popularity of our efforts. At the Congress, we were being referred to as Dates@Bates -- further indicative of the interest generated."
