DTCM & EMAAR join hands to promote Dubai's upcoming iconic properties

Emaar, recently organised a series of presentations to raise awareness about its upcoming iconic properties to boost tourism prospects.

Driven by success and a common goal of putting Dubai firmly on top of the world tourism map, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and leading property developers.

The first presentation held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) in the presence of tour operators and other industry stakeholders focused on new leisure opportunities for international tourists after the completion of the Atlantis Hotel, The Palm as well as other upcoming projects like the Business Bay and Jumeirah Beach Residence Towers project.

Those who were present on the occasion were Mr. Christo Diamandopaulos, Director of Leisure, Emaar Properties, PJSC and Mr. Alan Leibman, President and Managing Director, Kerzner International Management FZLLC, Atlantis-The Palm, Dubai. The DTCM was represented by Ms. Afraa Al Fahim, Manager, Business Development.

Atlantis, The Palm is a proposed destination resort development to be located on The Palm, Jumeirah, a multi-billion dollar, leisure and residential man-made island in Dubai that is currently undergoing infrastructure development in anticipation of future projects.

Once completed, Atlantis, The Palm will become Kerzner's second-branded resort and will be positioned to serve as the anchor for The Palm, Jumeirah as well as a leading tourist attraction in Dubai.

• The resort will have some unusual and distinctive archeological marine exhibits. The design will be based on the myth of Atlantis and will maintain the iconic design elements of the Royal Towers in Atlantis, Paradise Island, incorporating traditional Arabic design themes..

• An extensive water-theme park, which at approximately 40 acres will be the largest in the region, and feature unique water attractions, one of the world's largest marine habitats, a snorkel trail, a swim with the dolphins encounter program, an array of water slides and The Dig, an Atlantis-themed "archeological" experience. The water-theme park will have capacity for over 6,000 daily visitors.

The second presentation was given by Mr. Farhad Seddiq, Business Development Manager and Ms. Lara Qaddumi, Business Development Manager, Emaar. The main purpose of the presentation was to acquaint the tourism industry about the latest properties that have been developed by Emaar.

The spotlight of the presentation was on the Business Bay that will be a free-zone business, commercial and residential district covering an area of 64 million sq. ft. Dubai Business Bay is intended to maintain Dubai as the region's business capital and will be similar to New York's Manhattan and Ginza's business centres.

It is intended to provide a conducive environment and infrastructure for business. Some of the towers at the Business Bay include the Executive Towers (Residential), Al Manara Office Tower and the Citadel (office tower).

The presentation also drew attention to the Jumeirah Beach Residence project consisting of a 40 multi-storey residential towers being developed as part of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority.
