Commenting on these developments Mr Karl-Heinz Streibich who is on his first visit to the Middle East said,
"In the last few years, with the rapid economic growth and increasing global integration, the Middle East has evolved as one of the fastest growing and most exciting software markets globally. Today, the global software market is growing at an average of approximately 12.5 per cent, with the Middle East being the second largest contributor to this growth just behind Central and Eastern Europe. The Middle East is also one of the fastest growing markets and holds out high potential for Software AG as well. In order to optimally harness this growth we at Software AG have taken a strategic decision to substantially enhance our focus in the region."
"Though we are currently in the process of finalizing our Middle East expansion strategy key components would include the opening of new offices and a region specific dedicated software development centre, in addition to our next generation SOA suite 'crossvision' that we have unveiled today."
A comprehensive and innovative approach to synchronizing business with IT, crossvision is an SOA suite that delivers industrial-strength SOA through a unique approach to governing and controlling services. This enables business to succeed in rapidly changing markets by delivering true business agility.
In conjunction with crossvision, Software AG is helping companies meet the challenges of planning and implementing an SOA strategy. Software AG's recently announced SOA Competency Center offers assessments, best practices, methodologies, templates and additional elements focused specifically on the SOA life cycle.
"The rapid realization of our customer's business vision is the core concept behind crossvision," said Dr. Peter Kürpick, Member of the Board, Software AG and responsible for the development of crossvision. "The key to turning these into reality is to deliver strong products for leveraging SOA, BPM and existing systems across the organization, combined with effective and experienced SOA consultancy."
Elaborating on crossvision Mr Christian Barrios a Member of the Executive Board and Senior Vice President South Region (South Europe, Latin America, Middle East and India) of Software AG who is also on his first visit to the Middle East said, "crossvision is a next generation SOA suite that has been designed specifically keeping in mind the growing need for enterprises, both internationally and in the region, to rapidly and cost-effectively leverage existing assets and create new business processes.
"Aimed at driving the paradigm shift to SOA solutions that address a process-centric approach, its core strengths include; SOA Management and Governance, Composite Applications, Legacy Modernization and Unification of BPM and SOA."
crossvision is immediately available on a restricted shipment basis, with general availability planned for the second quarter of 2006. It comes with an innovative modular licensing model that allows customers to choose the suite components that best meet their needs, providing maximum flexibility and optimal return on investment.
