Arab Business Machine Ltd. (ABM), Apple's Independent Marketing Company in the Middle East, had previously announced the availability in the Middle Eastern market.
The iPod Hi-Fi is the latest in a string of releases Apple, which has seen the company witness a complete renewed product range. Since the beginning of 2006, Apple has been releasing via ABM, their new line up of machines to the region that have already begun to take the Middle East by a storm.
At the 'MacStore Apple Centre' located in the China Court of Ibn Battuta Mall, customers were treated to a full demonstration of this powerful music system that has been designed to fully enhance the iPod music capabilities.
Elias Abou-Rustom, General Manager of Arab Business Machine Ltd. speaking at the occasion was optimistic for the success of this item in the local market. 'Right now, there is nothing up to the standard of the iPod Hi-Fi anywhere. This device is state-of-the-art audio technology, compacted into the diminutive size of a book stand. It is extremely powerful and the quality of the sound that it can produce is unparalleled,' he said.
A remote control is included with this audio system that can allow the user to remotely navigate the tracks up and down in each playlist as well as the ability to adjust their playing volume, start, pause, fast-forward and rewind. The iPod Hi-Fi can also be used with an Airport Express via an S/PDIF digital connection, as well as any device (including computers and television sets) which have an audio out jack.
The unit resembles a typical music speaker. It's white encasing and black grill has a three driver speaker system that produces a high fidelity sound. The system can also take advantage of an internal power supply, which will make it capable running off AC DC currents.
'A sophisticated aspect of the iPod Hi-Fi is that the whole system is easily portable. As the device can be battery operated, you can move it around the house without having to worry about tripping on wires and you can even take it out with you anywhere. The iPod Hi-Fi really is your home stereo system, reinvented,' concluded Abou-Rustom.
