Delegates from the French Embassy in Dubai visit RTA

The Economic and Financial Counselor for the Middle East Jacques de Lajugie and the Deputy Trade and Commercial Commissioner Olivier Moaligou, from the French Embassy in the UAE visited the Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai and met with H.E. Matter Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and, Executive Director of RTA, to discuss the various upcoming road projects and the development of the Dubai Metro.

With a common vision between UAE and France to develop new concepts and services that optimize traffic flow and maximize safety to meet the needs of all sectors of society, this meeting proved to be promising, as its objectives were based on the construction of new transportation routes and projects like the Dubai Metro and the optimization of the existing ones.

H.E. Matter Al Tayer said,

'We are committed to strengthen and build our relationships with transport authorities across the world. Our long term common visions will lead to the achievement of our objectives of making transport in our country safe and secure.'



'Today, UAE is considered as one of the most developed countries in the world with reference to using technology to its best advantage and making the most of good management resources to develop its public transport services and infrastructure which will highlight our presence globally,' he concluded.

This visit was completed by an invite extended by the French Delegates to Mr. Matter and another few delegates for a visit to France to witness the presentation of the latest transport technologies and projects.
