Promax/BDA is a truly international organisation uniting the individuals who will pioneer tomorrow's electronic and broadcast media. Throughout the world the Promax/BDA awards, which are presented in each region, are regarded as the most prestigious awards for creative endeavour in this field.

The global association held its world conference and annual award ceremony at the exclusive Park Hyatt in Dubai on Wednesday, 15th of March for only the second time in Arabia. Top media professionals from across the globe, including senior representatives of the BBC and CNN, participated in the ceremony.

Hussain Lootah, CEO of DMI, said:

"To win any awards given by Promax is an honour. But to win 9 makes me feel extremely proud. The Awards are a testimony to the dedication, commitment and accomplishment of the team of DMI."

The Promax Awards were handed out in 19 different Production and Design categories, to celebrate the very best creative talent in the Arabian broadcasting market.

"Promax's second-ever Arabia conference was indeed a very successful event for us and for all the participants. It was an opportunity for all industry professionals from the region to interact and network with global giants such as Discovery Channel, BBC and CNN, who all shared their secrets with us," said Hussain Lootah.

Conference participants also received invaluable tips and advice from Martin Lambie-Nairn, one of the world's top brand consultants, as well as brilliant insights and inspiration from some of the biggest names in the Middle East. And, of course, they were able to see and hear some of the very best work handpicked from around the world.

"The Awards inspire us to not only maintain this high quality of broadcasting, production and design, but to excel and surpass our set targets so that we can enhance our reputation and live up to expectations of both our peers in the industry and our clients. We promise that we shall continue to deliver the very best," the head of DMI concluded.
