AUTOMECH AKHBAR EL YOM 2006 gearing automotive industry forward

Just 2 months separate the anxious audience of automotive fans and businessmen from AUTOMECH AKHBAR EL YOM 2006, the eleventh Pan-Arab/African Vehicles, Buses, Motorcar Workshops, Automobile Spare Parts, Accessories and Feeding Industries Exhibition.

The show is to be held, as usual, in Egypt at Cairo International Fair Ground during the period from 1-5 June, 2006. The show since it was first launched in 1996, is being held annually and has become a key business and information forum, bringing together professionals and industry players of the automotive industry.

With a total number of 285 exhibitors in 2005, AUTOMECH AKHBAR EL YOM is considered a very unique and special event as it gathers under one roof 3 various sections of automotive audience. At first basis, the show is a chance for car fans to see the latest models presented to the market by the leading industry brands such as BMW, Jaguar, Toyota, Renault, Chevrolet, Peugeot, Hyundai, Nissan, Honda, VW, and others. Meanwhile, the show dedicates special sectors for spare parts, accessories, and workshop equipment, and thus offering lucrative opportunities of business deals to traders, importers, and car manufacturers as well.

Being held in Egypt, which hosts more than 18 vehicle manufacturing plants, makes an annual event like AUTOMECH AKHBAR EL YOM 2006, a competitive marathon. Egypt is strategically located to serve as a gateway to many neighbouring regional markets with its long experience as a key member of the Common Market for East and South Africa countries (COMESA) free trade pact. Several vehicle automotive manufactures are now strategically developing the production lines of their plants in Egypt to serve these markets in addition to the growing market of the 72+ million Egyptians.

The show is organized by ACG-ITF, the well-established organizers of international trade exhibition in the MENA region since 1986 in partnership with Akhbar El Yom Establishment, the famous Arab media corporation. The show was visited last year by 238,112 visitors among which 15,102 were trade visitors from Egypt and regional Arab & African countries. AUTOMECH AKHBAR EL YOM 2005 attracted exhibitors from 25 countries among which were: Austria, China, France, Germany, India, Turkey, Japan, Korea, Tunisia, UAE and others in addition to Egypt. In 2006, visitors are expected to reach about 250,000 and exhibitors to reach about 300 exhibitors who are expecting to meet face to face with new buyers and potential partners and to appoint local sales and distribution agents.

Like other international automotive exhibitions, visiting Automech Akhbar El Yom, has become a thrilling experience. Leading car brands are all competing together to attract visitors' attention to their stands and they let no stone unturned to have the job done. About 100 new models are going to be uncovered this year with new method of attractions to visitors. Ranging from press conference to journalists to new on-stand entertainment shows, attractive and creative stand decorations, gifts, special discounts and other surprises make the visitors' tour an irrevocable memory till the next year's version.
