KSA accounts for more than 40 per cent share of the region's IT market.

Jamal Maraqa, Managing Director, PRO TECHnology said: 'The Information Technology (IT) sector is developing at a frenetic pace in Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom had registered the highest growth in business and average expenditure in the sector among the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, making it a very important destination for our storage, archiving, business and mobile solutions.'

'PRO TECHnology sees immense potential in Saudi Arabia's IT sector, which recorded an expenditure of US$ 8.6 billion alone during 2004. This is expected to rise to US$ 60 billion by 2020. We expect huge demand for our IT solutions from the large-scale projects the kingdom is planning and executing in infrastructure development, and in the strategic oil and gas, health and industry sectors,'

Maraqa added.

Abdullah Al Mutrif, PRO TECHnology's Managing Partner who will head the company's operations in Saudi Arabia, said: 'Our decision to focus on Saudi Arabia is keeping with our regional expansion plans and will allow PRO TECHnology to leverage on its growing network of partners and branches to provide comprehensive and diverse IT solutions in information storage and digital archiving to multinationals, government organisations and medium and large business enterprises in Saudi Arabia. PRO TECHnology will provide sales, customer, and technical support to the clients in the kingdom and will be fully backed by our head office in Dubai.'

The company has already established a presence across the MENA region through offices in Iran, Jordan, Libya and Sudan, and plans to strengthen its operations in Saudi Arabia by opening additional branches in Jeddah and in Riyadh by October 2006.

'PRO TECHnology is fully prepared to meet the growing demand for advanced business solutions and professional services from the country's evolving IT sector, and emerge as the region's leading solutions provider,' Al Mutrif added.

PRO TECHnology's range of services includes network infrastructure, remote access, complex storage, backup, high availability, mobility and digital graphics and printing solutions. The firm specialises in implementing efficient client/server network infrastructure and peer-to-peer networks and is able to reduce downtime, accelerate installation, and lower overall project costs by adopting advanced techniques.
