Orbit becomes sole provider of BBC Prime in UAE

Orbit Communications Company, which has always been the exclusive broadcaster of BBC Prime in the Middle East and North Africa with the exception of E-Vision in the UAE, has, as of 1 April 2006 extended the exclusivity to become the sole supplier of BBC Prime to E-Vision.

Orbit has been broadcasting BBC Prime exclusively on satellite throughout the Middle region and through all other cable networks including TECOM, and that exclusivity has now been extended to E-vision. Under the exclusivity agreement viewers in the UAE can tune into BBC Prime programmes by subscribing to Orbit directly or by subscribing to any of the Orbit packages on TECOM or E-Vision.
