CA names Bradley J. Samargya chief learning officer

CA (NYSE:CA), one of the world's largest IT management software companies, today announced that Bradley J. Samargya has been named senior vice president and chief learning officer reporting to Jeff Clarke, CA's Chief Operating Officer.

His appointment is effective immediately.

Gilbert Lacroix, CA's vice president and area manager for the EMEA Eastern Markets said,

"The appointment of Brad is very much part of CA's continued commitment to bring technical and service excellence to the marketplace. His experience will go a long way in strengthening CA's current drive in the Middle East and Africa to educate customers and partners on how CA solutions can help them unify and simplify complex IT environments."


Jeff Clarke, CA's chief operating officer said, "This newly created position reflects CA's commitment to investing in the education of our employees, customers and partners. Brad's experience makes him the right person to lead a global effort to better align our training and development programs with CA's business goals. This linkage will enable CA to drive for greater performance and results in every area of the business."

In his new role, Samargya will work with CA's Human Resources unit and outside business partners to develop strategic learning opportunities at CA and deliver targeted and measurable training to customers, partners and employees. Samargya will drive efficiency and effectiveness of all training and development initiatives by centralizing and leveraging CA's program management, vendor management, and content and learning management. Additionally, Samargya will oversee CA University and continue to build best practices in the Company's approach to IT business training.

Samargya joins CA from Siebel Systems, Inc., where he served most recently as group vice president, Siebel University overseeing global customer technical training, partner technical training and certification, end user training, change management/user adoption services and employee training worldwide. Additionally, Samargya created a variety of partner-specific training programs designed to enable Siebel partners to drive measurable business results for Siebel customers.

Prior to Siebel, Samargya was a vice president at Sybase, Inc., where he served as general manager for worldwide customer and partner technical training and certification. He also held senior positions at McGraw-Hill Education and Price Waterhouse. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
