The leadership conferences' aim is to provide professional training for senior leaders focusing on the impact that leadership styles have on school effectiveness and sustainability.

The two day event, which is held at the Meridien Mina Al Seyahi, explored models and processes of leadership behaviours and styles for the senior leaders of GEMS schools. The event aimed to identify the benefits that are derived from effective leadership.

"We are thankful to UK's Head Teachers in Industry for conducting this conference for GEMS senior leaders here in Dubai. This event comes in line with our continuing efforts to develop the standards of Learning and Teaching achieved in our classrooms." said, Hugh MacPherson, Chief Operating Officer, GEMS.

The conference was led by Julie Waldrich, Director of Training and Development, Head Teachers in Industry (UK) and David Grewer, Project Manager, Head Teachers in Industry (UK). The speakers from the UK represent a specialist not-for-profit firm that works in partnership with business, education and government to enhance leadership of people.

The conference was attended by GEMS Heads of schools and senior leaders from UAE and across the region.
