Bin Sulayem meets Spanish investors

The Director General of Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Mr. Khalid A Bin Sulayem met recently a Spanish team of investors who were in Dubai to explore business opportunities and make use of the tax-free free and full repatriation facilities offered by its different free zones.

The Director General who met the business delegation at the DTCM Head Office highlighted Dubai's current economic boom and the government's open door policy for international investment.

The Spanish delegation consisted of Mr. Alvaro Ruiz-Matoe, Mr. Carlos Moreno and Mr. Luis Sanz.

Dubai and Spain have traditionally shared a mutually beneficial relationship with the total number of Spanish hotel guests to India showing a 41 per cent increase in 2005.

The volume of Dubai's trade value with Spain amounted to Dhs. 1,486,277 in 2004, an increase of 30 per cent from 2003.

In 2005, the total number of Spanish companies operating out of Dubai and Jebel Ali Free Zone stood at 25.
